The business is built on the founding team’s meticulous and conservative approach to risk, relying on robust and sustainable lending practices which are continually optimised.

Risk mitigation is at the core of our strategy. Our loans are almost always secured first charge, typically below 70% loan to value. We rely on independent Red Book valuations – often choosing the lend against the 180-day valuation. When needed, valuations are also independently audited to ensure accuracy. Finally, every loan undergoes a comprehensive and rigorous due diligence review covering the borrower, the asset and the project.

We also usually retain interest on our loans, meaning the interest due from the borrower sits in our bank account and we manage the monthly payments. This reduces risk with a lower look-through LTV.
